Just giving it a bit of a turn over

In this cold weather, you blog can freeze up if you leave it out, so I thought I'd just start it up for a wee while.. No snow here, thanks to these big fans which our government has installed on every hilltop, to blow bad weather down south, but a bit parky.

Actually, I am rather busy with pearlcasting this week and next, so it'll have to be a quickie

Just in case you were thinking about cancelling your subscription due to a perceived intellectualising of the blog...........

    1. Tries or trys - it's not a word that followers of the Scotland rugby team know much about.

  3. Hayseed Dixie seem to have passed me by. Who'd have thought that 'Ace of Spades' would work as a country song?

  4. Did your blog start first time or did it need a push? I remember the days when you had to fasten a sheet of hardboard inside the radiator grille during the frosty weather – and lay newspaper over the windscreen. These young bloggers don't know they're bloody born.

    1. First time, Alen ! I had thought I would have to give you a bell to bring over "Because they're There" and a set of jump leads.

  5. Interesting use of the word "work" there, Mark.
Hayseed Dixie - word play on famous Aussie rock band, source of most of their material.

  6. I find that if you pour hot coffee over the keyboard it sometimes helps.
    Sometimes it doesn't, mind.

"pearlcasting" How are the swine taking it?

    1. I'll remember the coffee tip, but at the moment, some lovely mild Spring weather here. These big fans seem to have been a stroke of genius on Mr. Salmond's part. Can't understand what you and Mr. Trump have against them !
The swine ? Dirty and rotten as ever.

  7. One of my favourite Hayseed Dixie songs is actually an original composition - "Keepin' Your Poop In A Jar". It's an unusual take on the difficulty of moving on from a broken relationship.

I'm not sure if it was the mention of Donald Trump that brought that to mind.
