Say hello to Tosh

Tosh has joined us recently, and will be helping me with the blog in place of the sadly deceased Dell-boy. He has an impressive CV, packed with bytes and hertzs, and I am expecting great things from him once he finds his feet.
The headhunting process was exhaustive and time-consuming and resulted in my failing to respond to comments on the previous post, a gross discourtesy on my part which I have now rectified.

So, onward and upward (or not, as the case may be).
Surely this is now the only blog featuring both tosh and balderdash ?

    1. You seem to have chosen a rather extreme way of passing the time while I was offline !

  2. Ah, two bright rays of sunlight from Scotland in as many days. Andy Coulson's arrest and OM's back on line. What a start to the diamond jubilee weekend.
Great to hear from you again, Alen McF

    1. Remember, it's never difficult to mistake a Scotsman with a grievance for a ray of sunshine !

    4. Fatal indeed. :(

Yesterday I turned it on and it told me that the CMOS battery was dead.
I rang Acer, and they have no idea what battery it is. It is too old. It being a 5 year old PC.
      It is ok today though.
I will take the battery to Tandy and see if they can match it.

  4. In fairness, I was going to wait until tomorrow to comment on your previous post, because I figured it'd be a month before you'd go back to return your books.
