Too insipid -

My previous blog template. Just experimenting a bit.

This version is better from an audio point of view, if you can ignore the shitty ad at the beginning

  1. Better sound, that's for sure. I do like AS. Vastly underrated and often quirky lyricist with great melodic sense. 'Year of the Cat' is a great wee album. Saw him but once, in Hereford, where he unexpectedly teamed up with Ian Matthews for an encore. Very enjoyable gig.

    1. Al Stewaart was one of the Cousins in-crowd in my day. I have him filed (along with Stefan Grossman) under A for Assholes, but that is probably grossly unfair as we were all young at the time, and he has probably extracted his head from his own arse and turned into a really nice person.

Got a mate who plays guitar ? The pair of you can sit and play variations on this all night It's addictive.

    2. Hi OM, Never had the luck to get to Cousins, sadly! Agree with the Grossman thought. Back then he was an arrogant sh*t! I've met him many times and we invariably end up arguing, though I;m assured he has mellowed recently! I can see this being one of these little 'round and round' sort of things. I do the same with an old friend from CarrickFergus, with the Rev's 'Death don't have no mercy': innumerable permutations

  2. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Even better, I'd never have stumbled across it on my own.
