Schist happens....

… when siltstones and mudstones are subjected to extreme temperatures and pressure. Obviously.  Shit, on the other hand, happens when you abuse your body over a long period of time, resulting in, as in my case, two “severe” heart conditions and cirrhosis of the liver. All untreatable. This is bad news. Bad news indeed.

I thought I should let you all  (?) know in order to explain the recent (and future) lack of exciting hillwalking posts. I may use the blog space to do a retrospective, or some political rants, or the 500 greatest albums. Or something. Suggestions welcome.

Otherwise – so long and thanks for all the fish.

  1. Bugger. That's really crap news, fella.

Please don't drift into political rants - I know right now that would be so easy, but to be frank I'm sick to the back teeth of my good friends wearing themselves down to their stumps in the last week, and all to no avail.

I've spent too many years being angry and it got me absolutely nowhere in a hurry.

Let's hear about your good times - things that went well, things that went tits-up in a comical way (afterwards). By the sound of things on here you've had one hell of a time, meeting folk that others hold up as idols.

Tell a few tales. Stretch it a bit, if you like. But don't be angry.
    Good luck, Sir.

    :-)

Oh - and lots more music!

    1. You know, that's one of the most sensible pieces of advice I've been given at this confusing time.
      Thanks again.

  4. You have lots of tales to tell still. Tell them, please.

    1. Thanks, Louise. One of my favourite writers was known as "Tusitala" - The teller of tales.
